Title: Daytona 500 In The Books
Category: Post-Race
Blog Entry: Finally,  The withdrawl symptoms have passed and we are racing again.  As usual, my wife thinks I have become an obsessed person who is good for nothing from Thursday through Sunday.  What can I say, the DVR's running 24/7 and I have to get my NASCAR fix.  In a few weeks, it'll be routine and she'll be watching it to.     It just takes a longer for her to get back into it.  I'm not really sure what I feel about Daytona.  I thought there was lots of good racing, but being a Hendrick fan, Junior was the only saving grace.  Can't beleive we had a broken part during the first race.  Hopefully not a sign of things to come.    As far as Newman goes, I have never really been a fan, but it was nice to see him get a win after such a long drought.  I'm sure it's hard to go from being the winningest car one season, to no wins for a few years.  Hoping to see good racing at California this weekend.  Looking forward to rebounding in the fantasy league.  2nd to last on the MSP Yahoo board is disgraceful.  Speaking of fantasy, the Ultimate NASCAR Challenge kicked off with the Daytona 500.  BISHOP RACING was stacked with Dodges and already holds a 48 point lead over the rest of the competition.  I came in hard fought eleventh which I thought was decent considering where a lot of my drivers ended up.  Scooter & Jkill76 are also in the league and at least I finished ahead of them this week!    If anybody wants to follow along, you can check out the results of the Daytona 500 or view the UNC Standings .  It should be an interesting season. Well,  I've rambled on enough.  Good luck in all your endeavors this week.  We'll see ya in California!  AF24
