Title: The Dark Side Update 2/27
Category: Happy
Blog Entry: OK, I know. I missed doing an update after Daytona. I will do better my young apprentices.
Due to less than desirable track conditions, Jr. was taken out of the race early, like the day before the bulk of the race was run. Teammate, Casey Mears ran through water on the track, and the car slipped up into the wall, and then back down on the track to find the 88 car. Pretty lousy luck, if you ask me.
Being a pessimist about my driver (honed and nutured over the last couple of years watching Sterling Marlin), I am hoping this was just a fluke, but expecting this to be a trend this year. Oh well, it will increase my anger and give me focus.
Looking forward to this coming weekend, Las Vegas is usually a bust for Jr., with only 2 Top 10 finishes in his 8 previous attempts. His best finish was in 2003, comming in 2nd behind Matt (anybody wanna see my bratwurst?) Kenseth.
With Hendrick power under the hood, Jr. should have a chance to match or better his previous best finish. But, he will have to overcome his history of struggles at the track.
May the force of HMS be with you.
