Rexel announces the sale of HCL Asia, one of thethree activities of its Agencies Consumers Electronics (ACE) division[1],to the DKSH Group, a privately held Swiss company and the leading MarketExpansion Services provider with a focus on Asia.

HCL Asia, headquartered in Hong Kong, distributes luxury products such aswatches, skin care products and other fashion-related products in Asiancountries through a network of 54 sales outlets as a wholesaler and duty-free agent.

This business was non-core for Rexel, a global leader in the distributionof electrical supplies, and generated sales of EUR 42 million in 2009 (outof total Group sales of EUR 11.3 billion).

Rexel, a global leader in the distribution of electrical supplies, servesthree main end markets: industrial, commercial and residential. The Groupoperates in 34 countries, with a network of some 2,300 branches, andemploys 29,000 people. Rexel's sales were EUR 11.3 billion in 2009. Itsmajority shareholders are an investor group led by Clayton, Dubilier &Rice, Eurazeo and BAML Capital Partners.
